When Bruce Wayne is hit with a mind-control drug in Detective Comics #436, it causes a panic reaction that makes Batman afraid of the dark. His first lead turns out to be a dead end, but does give Batman an idea of who the real culprit is. On his way to check out this new idea, he uses this Batmobile. Like many cars of the '70s, it is a relatively sedate 2-door fastback.
